SUSAN ELBERGER: I am a bit jaded when I read that “the ending will leave you breathless.”

I have seen two rehearsals so far and have been fascinated with how much change there has been.  The first was just part of act 1, and the second was a complete run.  The actors are outstanding, and the interaction- “what if we tried it this way?”, “yeah, that looks good” is supportive and respectful of each person.  The staff is on top of all the changes that you need.

The second rehearsal, on Saturday, was astonishing.  I am used to hyperbole- “the best you’ve ever seen!”, “nothing tops this!”, so I am a bit jaded when I read that “the ending will leave you breathless.”  It did.  I sat there telling myself that it wasn’t happening despite the fact that it was.  The actors were absolutely true to their characters, and I didn’t see the ending coming.  I will get to as many more rehearsals as I can.

I can’t wait to see it when the run actually begins.  I have told my neighbors about the show, and they plan to attend.  I hope they do, and expect that they will find it as compelling as I do.
